There's a new report out looking at the problems we are facing and some suggestions for the future.
The author is a former long-standing Bishops' aide in E&W. From the summary, it sounds a bit management-speaky and over-optimistic, but it could have some good points too.

Personally just from glancing at this link, it looks as though the author reckons by changing some policies more money could come in and that that is the measure of success along with numbers.
Reports looking at the performance of the Church as though it's a big factory fail to take into account the very Truth that the Church is far more than a mere factory, political party or lobbying group. Nah... it's in a wonderful and mysterious way the very Body of Christ.
